Financial aid is a broad term that relates to all types of funding that help you pay for your tuition. This may consist of grants and scholarships, and loans. Grants and scholarships are funds that are gifts and you are not required to pay them back. Loan repayment begins after you leave school and your lender will set you up with a payment plan. It’s important to learn about financial aid for cosmetology students, as there are several payment plans available based on your situation.
The Gene Juarez Academy is able to offer financial aid, to those who qualify, because we are accredited by NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences) and have been since 1990. To maintain our accreditation and ability to participate with financial aid programs, we must meet specific standards set and monitored by NACCAS and the US Department of Education.
Getting started is easy, all you need to do to apply for financial aid is to visit www.fafsa.gov and complete the initial Federal application. If you would like help with the FAFSA application, we would love to meet with you to answer any questions.
After you’ve applied, you will meet with one of our financial aid advisors at the north or south campus to discuss your eligibility for all sources of funding available to pay for your tuition at the Gene Juarez Academy. The best part is that we will apply for the grants on your behalf, so you don’t have to worry about more paperwork!

We have a special program for high school students who enter during the summer after their graduation as well. In addition, the Gene Juarez Academy cosmetology program is VA approved.
