FAQ’S FOR FUTURE STUDENTS

We offer a hands-on Cosmetology training program that includes everything you need to know to be a licensed hairdresser in WA state. You will learn cutting, styling, and chemical processing along with lash extensions and an introduction to manicuring, esthetics and makeup.

Cosmetology program is 1600 hours and takes about 13 months to complete.

We offer a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday training schedule from 8 am to 7 pm that provides students the flexibility to work and be available for family four days a week. Currently, students start with distance education before transitioning to on-campus training. Once social distancing restrictions for higher education institutions are lifted, all training will be done on campus.

Contact us to schedule a campus tour with an Admissions Representative. This will give us an opportunity to learn more about your interests and goals, answer your questions, and show you around our campus. You will leave with a good understanding of what the student experience at Gene Juarez Academy is like and if a career in the beauty industry is the right fit for you.

This is an amazing opportunity for you to enjoy one of our complimentary services provided by a student in our clinic salon. You’ll have the opportunity to talk with your student artist about their training and experience attending Gene Juarez Academy. Interested? Ask your Admissions Representative for more details!

Gene Juarez Academy will make reasonable accommodations to students who have religious practices or beliefs that conflict with a scheduled course/program requirement. The request must provide specific dates to which the accommodation applies.

You have options! Our graduates can be found working at salons everywhere throughout the country and internationally. You can also find many of our graduates working at one of the ten Gene Juarez Salons and Spas locations. Therefore, it’s our policy that students attending Gene Juarez Academy are not required to work for or are guaranteed a position with Gene Juarez Salons and Spas, Gene Juarez Academy, or the Gene Juarez Home Office when they graduate.

We have programs in place to assist students in finding employment upon graduation by connecting them with regional salon employers. While placement is not guaranteed, you are provided the opportunity to participate in Externship Programs, Career Fairs, Salon Presentations, and Portfolio Photo Shoots.  We also regularly post job openings on campus.
