Gene Juarez Academy Career Fair events were designed to connect regional salon owners and recruiters with our students. Career Fairs are offered in the spring and fall at each campus location.  It is a great way for students to network, learn more about career opportunities, and showcase their work.

Cosmetology students work together in teams of four to create a head-to-toe look on a model. Their first task is to determine their theme and then create a storyboard outlining the inspirations behind the theme, hair, makeup, nails, and outfit of their model presentation. Popular themes have centered around pop culture, movie or comic book characters, seasonal trends and even food!

Manicuring students work independently to create a variety of nail art designs and develop their table display.

After weeks of preparation, our students are ready to showcase their talent during the Career Fair. All participating salons are asked to vote for their top three choices for best cosmetology team model and favorite manicuring nail art presentations, which is typically a challenging task.
